How have well-considered approaches produced the best possible solutions for our customers? The following facts tell their own tale, which began in 1985 with the establishment of RRT in the port of Duisburg. The five shareholders include the Friedrich Tiemann Group (Bremen) and Haniel Reederei (Duisburg).

 

1999 Second warehouse erected with 1,500 m² storage space to expand the handling of piece goods. The original area of 31,000 m² extended to 39,000 m².
2003 Reorganisation of the ownership structure to two shareholders with equal holdings: Tieman (Bremen) and Haniel Reederei (Duisburg).
2004 Terminal area expanded again by 14,700 m² to 53,196 m².
2005 Alcotrans Container Line Duisburg moves into its new offices on the RRT premises. The shareholding of Tiemann Bremen acquired by Alcotrans Container Line Duisburg. RRT and Alcotrans Container Line Duisburg merge to become a complete provider of logistics services for containers.
2006 Terminal area expanded from 53,000 m² to 70,000 m² and a second crane system erected. Additional rail tracks constructed to process container train blocks.
2009 The new Gateway West terminal opens in LogPort II with an area of 77,900 m² and a container crane with up to 50 t lifting capacity.
2010 A second crane system commissioned at RRT Gateway West and AEO certification.
2011 The main administration relocated to the new building at RRT Gateway West.
2012 New operating facilities opened in Nieder Ofleiden in Hessen.
